HO! HO! HO! Merry Christmas!

The boys were so handsome on the Sunday before Christmas.  Cy was being grumpy and the only way we could get a picture was if he sat on my lap.
 Our future little missionary Easton.

They were so excited to go downstairs and see if Santa had made it.  Ken was so worried that Santa didn't know where Texas was, so he was shocked to see Santa found our house.
The only thing Easton wanted was chapter books. Santa decided he needed a chair to read all his books on. You can't really tell, but the chair is a baseball glove and the ottoman is a baseball.  He probably got over 15 chapter books so it is safe to say we won't be seeing a whole lot of Easton in the upcoming weeks.  He always has his nose in a book.
Ken wanted a motorcycle with a race track and a shooter and Santa luckily found one just for him.  He got a bunch of clothes and blocks and games too.
Cy got a little toy to ride on and he is constantly being pushed along by Easton or Ken and he thinks the faster the better...it gets pretty scary once they get on the wood floors.  He got a couple train sets and clothes too.

Zac woke up at 5 AM so we could have fresh, yummy orange rolls.  Ken could have cared less about they toys, all he wanted was to chow down on orange rolls.

We survived our first Christmas in Texas, our first Christmas not being able to visit Kamdyn's grave on Christmas Eve and the first Christmas with Mom and Dad on a different continent.  It was a hard day, but a good day.  Love you all!

A Few Highlights from the Play - Act 2

All seems perfect at the end of Act 1 and then there is a huge disruption.  That's when the Witch enters.
After figuring out there was a giant in the land, the characters try to figure out a solution.  None of them listen to the Witch that they need to feed the boy (Jack) to the giant, and in the meantime, Rapunzel is crushed and killed.  The Witch sings a lament (but I can't find it on this computer.  I'll add later.).

The Witch finds Jack to give to the giant, but the others do not like this idea.  They all decide that it is the Witch's fault that any of this has happened, that's when the Witch sings her farewell song.

"Careful the things you say - children will listen" is the moral of this story for the Witch.  The finale.

A Few Highlights from the Play - Act 1

This is my beginning scene visiting my annoying neighbors, the Baker and his wife.

The duet with Rapunzel.

Stay with Me - The Witch is angry with Rapunzel because she has had a visitor.
Near the end of Act 1 - the objects have all been found to break the curse.  The Witch transforms.

Nolan Videos

I hope these work.  The first part is at Sandhollow.  I'm not sure why the sound isn't working.  The second is from Aunt Ilene's birthday party.  Love that laugh!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The boys had a fun Halloween. We went trick or treating downtown to all the stores and then went to a couple houses. Ken thinks all he has to do now is say trick or treat to anyone we see and he will get candy. He was pretty disappointed at the grocery store and at church when he tells people trick or treat and they just laugh at him. We hope everyone had a good Halloween!

Labor Day Weekend

Over Labor Day weekend, the Johnsons, Cami, and I all went up to Scofield for one last trip.  Saturday and Sunday it rained most of the time, and I didn't get any pictures.  But we ate good food (as always), took naps, read, watched the Disney channel, went to church, and relaxed!  Then on Monday the weather was awesome!
Here Kelcie and Ty are building an Egyptian Pyramid with NoJo's help.

Bailey's one daring little girl!  She doesn't mind cold water at all!

Cami got to wakeboard.  I really liked these two shots of the her and the water (you can pretend that there wasn't any green slim!).

Then Ty took a turn kneeboarding.  You can see the series of him doing a 360!

"Look!  No hands!"  Bailey's loving this!

Cami figured out a way to keep Nolan contained...bury him!

Ariel

It was windy, and Ty had taken the paddle-board to the other shore with Cami. But the wind had blown him off track.  Don't worry - Search and Rescue went to recover him.  :)
