9 Mile Canyon Trip for Grandma BJ's 82nd Birthday

 Last year, after Cami and I went on a day trip to 9 Mile, Grandma said she had always wanted to go there.  So we decided to plan on it for her birthday.  Chad and Katie with Jack and Max were also able to come with (the Johnsons were in St. George for dance).  We all drove together in Chad's Suburban.

                                               Grandpa Potts has loaned us his trusty guidebook and had told us that we HAD to find the Pregnant Buffalo.  We searched and searched and searched.  We knew we could not "return with honor" if we didn't find it!  At last Max and Chad did!  We were very excited. 

                                               Max was pretty scared to be up on this ledge with Jack.

                                            On the way back we ran into these 14-year-old cowboys herding the cattle - Cows and new calves.

Grandma BJ's First Trip to 9 Mile

The Carlsons, Chelsa, and I took Grandma to 9 Mile for her very first time. We had a fun day. This picture is at The Great Hunt panel.  We missed the Johnsons, who were in St. George for Kelcie's and Bailey's dance competition.

Derby Time

Easton got his derby car last Monday and the race was on Saturday. He and Zac scrambled to get a car together and his iron man car turned out pretty cool. It wasn't super fast, but Easton had a blast. Ken was loving every minute of it, as you can tell from the above picture. It is crazy that we have a cub scout in our house!
